Instructions:
Peel, core and slice your apples.
Place apples, sugar and spices into your crock pot. Stir well. Cover and cook these ingredients on high for about an hour.
Remove the lid and stir. Then re-cover slow cooker and cook on low, stirring occasionally, until the butter reaches a spreadable consistency (about 11 hours). The butter should be a dark brown color.
Transfer to hot, sterilized jars. From there, you’re able to can the butter, or allow it to cool and place it in the freezer. Use within a year for best quality.
