Juicy Slow Cooker Apricot Balsamic Glazed Turkey Breast

The most amazing turkey breast recipe glazed with the perfect flavors.

I really am not a big fan of cooking the breast portions of any poultry. They just come l 007aout really dry most of the time. And I really don’t like my dish dry. But if I have recipes like this, then cooking poultry breast portions is not a problem at all. Plus since I have a slow cooker, it is only a delight to prepare this kind of recipe.

This turkey breast recipe does not require so many ingredients. So if you are on a tight budget, this recipe might help. And you can always swap the turkey breast to chicken breast. Plus it is so easy to make. And since you will be using a slow cooker, you can definitely leave it in the slow cooker for hours while you work on something else.

Some work will have to be done after slow cooking the turkey breast. But not to worry, it is just a matter of simmering the sauce in order to have a really delectable flavoring covering your entire chicken breast. So get moving and try it out now.

Slow Cooker Apricot Balsamic Glazed Turkey Breast

Ingredients:

1 frozen turkey breast (about 3 lbs)

salt and pepper

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup apricot preserves

⅔ cup balsamic vinegar

½ tsp minced garlic

1 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions:

Place turkey breast in the slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper and pour chicken broth into the bottom of the slow cooker.

Cook on low for about 8 hours, or until a meat thermometer reaches 170 degrees F in the thickest part. Remove from slow cooker and let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Place back in the slow cooker and set to keep warm.

In a small pot, combine preserves, vinegar, garlic and brown sugar. Bring to a simmer over medium high heat, and reduce to medium, whisking often.

Simmer for 15-20 minutes until reduced and thickened slightly (it won’t become super thick, but there will be a noticeable difference — it will continue to thicken as it cools). Pour over turkey slices in slow cooker and serve.
