Have a gastronomical trip with this extremely tender and flavorful Greek dish.
Do you like trying different dishes from different countries? Do you travel to those places just to have a taste of the country’s authentic dishes or do you like cooking them at home?
Well, my hubby and I enjoy trying different, new and well-reviewed dishes. But for us, it is quite difficult to travel to the country it came from, just imaging the expenses we would be incurring just to eat. But of course we go on trips once I a while. It’s nice going on vacation in a foreign land at times.
Now cooking is one of the ways we opt for in order to try the best dishes of different nations. And here is one example of it, the Greek Chicken. Most of the recipes I try out are chicken as it encourages my kids to try it as well. This Greek Chicken cooked in a slow cooker is very tender and the spices are truly amazing. I’m sure you will enjoy it as much as we do.
Check out the recipe below.
Slow Cooker Greek Chicken
Ingredients:
3-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
3 Tbsp. Greek Rub, I use The Pampered Chef brand
1½ Tbsp. minced garlic
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
1½ cups hot water
2 chicken bouillon cubes
Instructions:
Line slow cooker with liner or cooking spray.
Rub each chicken breast with Greek Rub to coat generously on each side.
Next, rub about ½ Tablespoon of garlic on each chicken breast.
Place chicken breast in slow cooker and drizzle lemon juice over the top.
Crumble and stir 2 chicken bouillon cubes in 1½ cups of hot water. Once dissolved and stirred as best as possible. Pour over chicken. Cover with slow cooker lid.
Cook on LOW for 6 hours, or until cooked through and tender.
